For those of you that have always wanted to build your own bow, we offer classes that will show you the fundamentals and basics of bow building.

       We will take you through the form design process, which covers establishing a curve as well as the reflex and deflex of the limb. We also cover handle design and fadeouts  and how to produce paper thin ends for smooth laminating.

      You will pick up valuable information on fabricating jigs for handle cutouts. Learn how to determine draw weight and choose tapers that will create a stable bow limb.

       You will actually build a bow from start to finish. Hands on from wood selection, draw weight, length, overlays and finish.

       If it's just a bow for yourself or you are thinking of starting a bow company, we can help. We don't claim to have "THE WAY" what we can show you is "A way".

Classes are limited to no more than 2 students and are scheduled throughout the year. We feel that working with 2 students gives you the most from the class and enables us to spend as much time as needed on each step of the process.

Class prices are $850.00 per person. This price includes all materials needed to complete a bow as well as all safety items ( gloves, protective eye glasses, dust masks). We will provide lunch everyday in the shop. Coffee and soft drinks will also be supplied. We ask that you bring a note pad, pencils and pens and a marker.We do not provide lodging but can make arrangements at several nearby motels.
