Sauk Trail began offering Custom Bows for sale in 1981. After many long days and nights of working on designs and bow forms as well as building bows with different woods and glass backing, we felt we were ready to move forward. Today we offer 5 models, our Spirit Recurve, the Kankakeee River Longbow, the Beaver Creek Longbow our Mudd Creek and Neenah Creek Flatbows. All Sauk Trail Bows have become popular with traditional shooters in the U.S. and many countries overseas. We pride ourself on crafting quality bows at affordable prices and can truly say we never make two alike. We believe a custom bow should be a one of a kind bow not just in draw weight but in appearance as well.

Jerry Roberts and sons have been shooting bows for what seems to be forever. Jerry and sons alike got the first bow at the early age of 5. Dad put the boys in tree stands at that age and told them to stay there until he came for them, to that order they listened. The rest is history. They all play important rolls in the Bow building, Hunting and Fishing business.

Jerry and son Mike work well together in the shop building some of the sweetest shooting bows made today, while JR and Mack do Sports Shows and hang out at the camps to help out hunters and fishermen and other fun things that we should call work. What more could you ask for, work thats really fun.
